Jaime Munguia is Ready

The boxing fans at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California knew that the Mexican boxing knock out warrior was ready to deliver a knockout performance against Irish journeyman Jimmy Kelly. The question was, would the fight result in an early or late knockout?

The match started off with both boxers entering the ring with no bad blood, no pressure, strictly business of one man trying to be better than the other and get paid to knock out each other out. Although Jaime is the heavy favorite, one can never count out a journeyman especially a boxer that comes from rich boxing culture of Ireland. Both professionals started the fight with smart pressure and well place selected punches. Jimmy Kelly seemed to being doing well the first two rounds sticking and moving away from body punching machine Jaime Munguia. The crowd was entertained because it was classic match of the matador vs the bull. A ferocious Mexican bull that was charging at the Irish Matador, trying to get away.

As the rounds kept progressing, the crowd got louder, knowing that Jimmy Kelly wasn't going to last any longer. Jimmy Kelly being the bigger man was getting slower due to crisp clean left hooks to the body of Kelly. Rounds 3 and 4 were still up in the air but the momentum of the fight was quickly heading to the bulldozing Munguia. Round 4 ended with Munguia ending the round strong as Kelly was being rocked back and forth from thunderous shots of Munguia. Round 5 begins with Jimmy still selecting his shots wisely but finding himself getting pressured to the ropes as Munguia keeps stalking and punching away. Strong body shots that didn't have Kelly sharp with punches and swift on his feet as he did in rounds 1 and 2.

Midway through the round 5, Munguia and Kelly found themselves in the center of the ring. And Kelly found himself with a flush Munguia right punch to the body, followed with a clean left hook to the Jaw. Jimmy Kelly got rocked and stumbled down to the ropes for the first knock down of the fight. The crowd was roaring with joy as they didn't expect the knock down to happen so soon. Jimmy Kelly displayed his toughness as he got up before the count of 10 and rushed back to action against Jaime Munguia.

A combination of firepower was being exchanged between Munguia and Kelly. Munguia, motivated to finish off Kelly, and Kelly showing Munguia he was not going down without a fight. In their exchange of shots, Kelly went to the canvas again from a quick well calculated uppercut from Munguia. Jimmy Kelly displayed his bravery as he got up weakened but not defeated. There was 40 seconds left on the clock, and Kelly was doing his best to survive by sticking out his jab to charging Munguia. Jimmy Kelly learned quick that one can't exchange

firepower with the heavy punching Munguia. Unfortunately, it was too late for Kelly to learn that as he was pressured to corner receiving a flurry of punches from Munguia.

Jimmy Kelly found himself back on the floor for the third time in the round and in the fight. To the surprise of many, the Irish journeyman displayed a warrior's heart rising up and ready for action. Referee Taylor Thomas assess Kelly and calls off the fight, protecting the tough journeymen. Jaime runs to the corner in celebration with the crowd going crazy over the knockout victory.

Munguia shows why he is dangerous and is more than a power puncher. Munguia is quickly developing into a boxer with finesse and aggression. Two traits that makes him as dangerous as his trainer and boxing legend Erik Morales. In his post-fight interview, Jaime Munguia is ready for any challenger, "I'm ready to go back to 160 pound or 168 pound and fight for the title." Both middle weight and super middle weight divisions are stacked with talent and dangerous boxers. Two divisions that will definitely produce fireworks. Fortunately for Jaime, he is considered one of the most dangerous boxers in either division. Besides his power, and resilience, Jaime Munguia is still young and is only getting better after every fight. Munguia is becoming more than a raw talented power punching fighter, he is becoming a polish smart boxer with devastating knockout power in both hands.
