Its summer time in sunny Los Angeles and all the stars are in the Crypto arena ready to see rising boxing star Ryan Garcia. The superstar enters the ring with a live band and fireworks on full display. A superstar entrance for one of boxing's brightest stars.
In the ring waiting for Garcia is Ryan’s opponent, Javier Fortuna. The tough veteran has been waiting patiently in the ring and outside of the ring for this fight to come to fruition.
Its been over a year since Javier Fortuna and King Ryan were set to face each other. Unfortunately, the fight got called off due to Ryan having to battle a different opponent, mental health disease. Ryan Garcia received a lot of backlash for not fighting Fortuna, as some spectators believed that Ryan was avoiding Javier. Nonetheless, Ryan is still moving on track with his career and took the fight with Javier Fortuna.
The first round was a feel out round, but one can quickly see just how quick Ryan hands are as he is controlling the pace of the fight. The fight progresses into a bull vs matador as Ryan is jabbing away looking to land his signature lightning left hook. Nonetheless, Javier is not making himself an easy target as he displays credible defense and offense. Fortuna is getting frustrated and is increasing his offensive output. Still Javier comes up short as half of his attacks are too slow for the speedy superstar Ryan Garcia.
Midway through round four, and King Ry shows why is one of the kings of the lightweight division as he lands his blazing speed left hook to the body of Fortuna. Javier falls to his knees quickly as the crowd cheers to what can be a knockout. Surprisingly to many, Javier once again demonstrates his veteran grit as he finds a way to rise from the knock down and continues to fight to survive the fourth round.
Round five begins with Ryan Garcia being more aggressive as he knows he hurt Fortuna in the last round. Javier is backing away and trying to evade the quick shots from King Ry. Ryan's constant pressure and fast jabs traps Fortuna in the corner of the ring. The veteran Fortuna knows too well not to be in the corner and is trying to fight his way out. In a flash, the quick handed Garcia lands another left hook, this time to the temple of Fortuna's head.
